Mining PlexHive

sha256d ASIC miners

As part of our multi-PoW implementation, we have reclaimed control of the 32-bit block version field. In the past, it was noted that certain ASIC miners exploited approximately 13 high bits of this field to gain additional nonce space. This practice is not permitted, as block version fields are subject to stricter validation. To avoid block rejections, we strongly advise using the exact version field value provided by getblocktemplate

What does that really mean, you can't use asic miners that exploit block fields with software like asicboost. Asicboost will need to be disabled to mine PlexHive.

MinotaurX CPU miners

MinotaurX is a CPU-focused mining algorithm and isn't GPU-minable, which further enhances its alignment with Satoshi's vision. By being CPU-centric, MinotaurX ensures that mining remains accessible to a broader range of participants using standard hardware, reducing the dominance of industrial-scale operations that often rely on GPUs or ASICs. This fosters a more decentralized and fair network, echoing Satoshi's original intent of giving anyone with a basic computer the opportunity to participate in securing the blockchain.
